What are Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation and UHN doing about COVID-19?
As the situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve, Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation (TGWHF) is focused on doing its part to ensure the health and safety of our community. The safety of our patients, visitors and staff is paramount.

UHN is screening everyone that comes into to the hospital. Some entrances may be closed or have reduced access. Our Infection Prevention and Control department remains in close contact with Public Health Ontario and other agencies to help guide decision-making. TGWHF remains in close contact with our UHN partners who are actively monitoring the situation and taking measures to prevent the transmission of the virus. For more information please visit UHN’s COVID-19 info page.

Foundation offices
In response to public health advisors’ call for physical distancing, TGWHF staff will be working from home to minimize the risk of transmission and decrease the overall impact on our healthcare system. Foundation staff remains committed to raising funds critical to patient care, research and education. Our team can be reached by telephone and email. All meetings normally held at our offices will be postponed or conducted via telephone or online. If you need to get in touch, you can email [email protected] or call 416-603-5300.

Fundraising events
Our fundraising events are essential to the incredible advancements that happen every day at Toronto General and Toronto Western hospitals, but the safety of our donors, volunteers, patients, healthcare providers, community partners and suppliers is our number-one priority.

Events scheduled until the end of April are being cancelled or postponed. If you were invited to a Foundation event, you may have received an update via email. Please check your inbox or call the Foundation for more details at 416-603-5300.

Moving forward
We thank you for your continued support during this time and will continue to provide updates through our website, email and social channels as the situation with COVID-19 evolves.
